The Buffalo…

Since I’ve started leather crafting almost 3 years back, I’ve decided to personally challenge myself. Sometime in September 2011, I’ve decided to do a little documentation on this. Even more, after attending the Hermes Show in Paragon, I was very impressed & wanted to know where I fall short.

As I wanted something different but practical with daily work, I decided to fabricate a rugged at the same time gentlemanly wallet. Back then, we’ve the usual selection of leathers. So happen a shippment of Buffalo leathers came & immediately I wanted that in my wallet. So together using the buffalo skin & London Tanned TR1 leathers packed with my new 3mm pronge from Japan, this was done.

This whole wallet was hand cut & stitched. Similar models are available at OGL, however Buffalo Skin is imited.

15 Oz Denim,

Indigo Roots Denim Contest 2011

The first Indigo Roots Denim Contest has finally arrived 11th Nov 2011. Glad to be part of it as Contestant No. 27.

Initially wanted to particpate with a pair of new D’Artisan but didn’t manged to find anything suitable & within budget. However, through a good friend (nick Tango on the IR forum), got a pair of Samurai S001JP 15 Oz from him. Irony, I never thought I’ll be using a Samuri Denim but it was rather a good buy for it. Will see how this progress. Pics will be up soon.

To all the contestants, good luck…

No. 5, Jalan Kilang, Singapore

Here’s the work of probably Singapore’s only be-spoke shoe artlier, Edwin Neo. The event is a show room held at the mentioned address.

Here’s some pics taken at the show.

Pardon the lighting wasn’t good. Above is a pair of seemless shoe if  it can be called. Just one single piece of leather with minimal stitching. Love the workmanship. Below are some of his ready to wear, MTOs & Be-spokes.

Interesting collection of old tools.

A pair that I like. As usual perferated wing tip.

Here’s Edwin, at work.
